Phil or Tiger?

Phil or Tiger? Tiger or Phil? Is it an even match? Is there a sleeper player waiting in the wings to snatch it all?

Phil is up for three majors in a row. Tiger is up for a fresh kill.

I say neither of them win. I say someone else creeps in and steals the prize. But who? Hmmm.. Can't wait to find out!

The Golf Blog wonders if David Duval will win the Open. Here, from ESPN, are the world's top 200 players. David is not among them. We'd all love to see him win. He needs his game back first.

But wait....Sports Illustrated's Gary Van Sickle gives David a 90-1 shot at winning. Check out all his odds here.

I've seen that hole before, I believe it's at Oyster Bay. The green looked like it floated on the water surrounded by oyster shells, hence the name.

Golf is golf! Somewhere in your son's heart, he couldn't bear the sight or the memory of beating his Old Man. (ha ha) But I am sure it won't be so nice the next time around - right?!

Oh and about this lasting memory of the windmill putt on the last hole, if you remember it was the advice on the shot before that got you to that putt! "Dad, why lay up with your "trusty" 5-iron, you can make it with your 3-wood, swing smooth!" or maybe it was the 17th hole, where you had a miraculous 20 yard bunker shot, that put you within 5 feet?

No matter what shot it was, it's all about the time spent with the man who will always be my lifetime mentor!

Thanks for the memories Dad and Happy Father's Day! (sorry, to be sentimental on a manly golfers blog!)
